Much can be said about James M Mitose. He is credited with introducing kempo to Hawaii, writing a book in English on the subject, and his name is associated with Professor William 'Thunderbolt' Chow, Sijo Adriano Emperada, Professor Henry Seishiro Okazaki, Sensei Harold Laranang, and many others. The course of his life would take a drastic turn after moving to California.
" I will not comment on the character of the man named James M Mitose but I will tell you this: He was serious about his martial art."

This list is by no means an exhaustive list and is posted only to give credit to the martial artists who were kind enough to share their time and knowledge with me. Thank you to all who have been instrumental in my martial arts journey and development. I truly believe I have learned as much from my students as they ever learned from me.
I have spent a considerable amount of time studying human behavior and incorporating these skills into the Baraka Kempo Self Defense System.
